Gardens Kids Tri 2009

Lily and Marshall just participated in the Gardens Kids Tri in Palm Beach Gardens on Sunday October 4th. They both did a really great job! Lily had a fantastic race and finished 7th out of 25 in her category! Marshall's age group was not timed, but I think he was definitely the fastest one out there ;-) !!! Papa and Abuela were there cheering! All of the Jaguar Youth Tri Club kids did awesome! Check out the videos Jay posted.

Tropical Triathlon 2009

On September 27th Jay and I both raced in the Tropical Triathlon in Lake Worth. It was really fun, a beautiful day! Erica and Anita also competed so it was really great to have friends out there! Jay placed 14th out of 17 in his category and 224 out of 454 overall. I was 11th out of 13 in my category and 362 out of 454 overall. We had Brent and Noelle Whitfield, and Erica's sister Sarah and her son Aiden cheering for us! A great day!

Loggerhead Triathlon 2009

On August 8th (our 10 year wedding anniversary!) I completed the Loggerhead Triathlon in Juno Beach. This was my second triathlon and I was super excited! I was 15th in my age group (out of only 16) and 472 out of 600 overall. I had Jay, Papa, Nana, Pop and the kids there cheering me on! I loved it! So fun!

NPB Kids Triathlon

Lily completed the 1st annual NPB Kids Triathlon on August 1st. She was a superstar!! She came in 9th out of 25 in her category. (She had the fastest run time in her category) Nana and Pop were there to watch. We were so proud of her! Check out the video!

In May the kids competed in the 2009 Fit Kids Triathlon in WPB at Gaines Park. It was their first triathlon race and they both did awesome!!!! Lily came in 7th in her category and Marshall did really well also (his category is not timed) Papa was able to come down from Indiana to see them. It was a GREAT first race!

2009 Turtle Fest Kids race

Much has happened since our last post! I (Sara) will be taking over the majority of the posting from now on. The kids have joined the Jaguar Youth Tri Club with Coach Shelley, which has been really fun!

They recently did the 1st annual Turtle Fest kids race at the Marine Life Center in Juno Beach. This race was just a run, not a tri. There were many more kids than expected so it was a little hectic and a little unorganized, but they both had fun! Mom and Pop were there to watch.
